The Arabian Horse (Arab)

The Arabian Horse or the Arab is a breed of horse that originated on the Arabian Peninsula. The Arabian is one of the most easily recognisable horses in the world today. It is one of the oldest horses too, with archaeological evidence that these horses were there 4,500 years ago. Arabs are used to improve other breeds of horses by adding speed, endurance and strong bone. Arabian Bloodlines are found in almost every horse today. The Arabian Horse is good natured, quick to learn and willing to please. Arabian horses have wedge-shaped heads, a broad forehead, large eyes, large nostrils, and a small muzzle. They also have arched necks with a large windpipe. These horses are found worldwide.

The Appaloosa

The Appaloosa is a breed of horse known for its markings, a unique leopard spotted coat. There is evidence of leopard spotted horses back to the  Paleolithic era in Europe, the people of the American Pacific Developed the American Breed. The breed fell into decline for many decades. Today, the Appaloosa is one of the most popular horses in the USA. The Appaloosa is a stock horse and also used in western riding. Westen competitions include roping, cutting and reining. The Falabella Horse

The Falabella breed of horse is one of the smallest breeds of horse in the world, and is a very rare breed with only afew thousand all over the world. Despite their size, it is not a pony, it is a miniature horse. The Falabella horse was originally in Argentina. The breeding programe was started in 1868 by Patrick Newtall. When Patrick Newtall died he passed the breeding methids on to his son-in-law Juan Newtall who added bloodlines such as the Welch Pony and Shetland Pony. The average height of a Falabella horse today are between  28 and 34 inches. This breed are similar to Arabs and with their sleek coat and petite body frame. Most Falabellas are very smart and easy to train but because of their small size they can only be ridden by small children. Therefore, most would be used for shows without a rider.
